Oscar Sunday is hands down my favorite Sunday of the year. The stars put their best heels forward for a night of celebration, glamour, and FASHION! Detailed beading, lace, and white gowns covered the red carpet along with statement necklaces and vintage jewelry. Texture took over the gay mans Superbowl aka The 86th Academy Awards.
Charlize Theron dominated the red carpet in this Dior Haute Couture gown with a plunging neckline, sharp pleats, and an innovative take on shoulder straps. Sparkling in Harry Winston, Char was hands down my best look of the evening.
Newcomer Lupita Nyong’o was definitely a fan favorite in powder blue Prada. This color supports her skin tone perfectly, although I could have done without the headband.
Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace is someone who wore detailed beading perfectly Oscar night. The cape helps complete this look and the plunging neck and back are accentuate her body perfectly.
Naomi Watts in this shimmering Calvin Klein gown is another winner in the texture and beaded detailing category. The straight cut gown and cap sleeves offer a simple but unique look of the night. The statement necklace and clutch are perfect accessories, too!
Let’s hear it for the boys! The always dapper Bradley Cooper in Tom Ford had me feelin’ myself. As my best dressed man (close second to Kevin Spacey) Cooper dons facial hair and a classic tux.
The losers of the night should always get a little recognition, right? Pharrell had me feeling disrespected by those shorts, and Liza Minnelli- gurl, no.
